T-Mobile Arena Will Host Canelo Álvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin 3

T-Mobile Arena is all set for the biggest boxing event between Canelo and Golovkin on September 17, 2022. Approximate of 20,000 people can watch the fight live from the stadium and rest from their home through PPV DAZN in HD quality.

Gennadiy golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez 3 was announced in May as they would be battling it out for the super middleweight title. At the time, however, no venue was announced. This is no longer true.

Tuesday saw the announcement that Alvarez vs. Golovkin would be held in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. The general public can purchase tickets on Monday, June 27, at 1 p.m. ET/10:30 PT/6:45 GMT at AXS.com.

GGG III vs. Canelo will be broadcast live on DAZN TV in the USA and Canada, as well as around the globe on DAZN (except Mexico, Latin America and Kazakhstan).

Alvarez will be returning to the site of their epic fights in September 2017. The September 2017 fight ended in a draw. It was unanimously agreed that Golovkin had done enough to win the victory. Alvarez won the rematch by majority decision one year later.

After defeating Caleb Plant at 168 pounds in November, Alvarez moved up to light-heavyweight to try to beat Dmitry Bivol (WBA super) twice. Bivol had other ideas and won by unanimous decision Alvarez’s first loss in more than eight years.

Golovkin, who was traveling to Japan in April, beat Ryoto Mura by ninth-round TKO. This win added the WBA (superior) middleweight title to Golovkin’s IBF belt. GGG now has the chance to revenge two fights he felt should’ve gone his way.

T-Mobile Arena will host Canelo vs Golovkin Third Fight

They have unfinished business that they want to resolve between them in front of another group of 20,000.

After losing to Dmitry Bivol in May, Canelo now has something to prove. As Canelo won the first round, the crowd gasped in relief.

Now it’s up to the Mexican star to put an end to his three-fight saga, which he has been waging with his most important career rival.

From the opening bell in Nevada, fireworks will explode.

Tickets for Canelo and Golovkin 3 are expected to go on sale shortly, according to the T-Mobile Arena website.

About T-Mobile Arena Venue

T-Mobile Arena hosted the first two fights between Canelo and GGG and it’s the third fight again at the same venue.

T-Mobile hosted the first two Canelo-vs. Golovkin bouts. Both were controversial and left boxing fans unhappy. Many Canelo fans were unhappy with the way the judges scored the fights. It appeared that Golovkin had won the fights.

Canelo lost to Dmitry Bivol , WBA light-heavyweight champion , in May. The fight was decided unanimously at the T-Mobile Arena. All three judges scored identical scores of 115-113. This was a fight many boxing fans considered a huge victory for the champ.

It would have been better if the fight was staged at a different venue, given the controversy surrounding Canelo’s and Golovkin’s first fights.
